To be admitted into the Division of Fine Arts, students
must have taken the following courses with the required
units as listed:
English (3); mathematics (1); and 4 units from the following
areas-science (2); social science (2), and foreign language
(2); 7 additional units, 4 in academic courses and 3 in
art, music or other free electives.
The Division of Fine Arts requires auditions, tapes, or
portfolios as evidence of ability to successfully pursue
college level work in art, drama or music. Additional details
are included with information
concerning individual departments.
Students must submit a portfolio for admission to the B.F.A.
degree program in studio art. In addition, two letters of
recommendation and an interview may be required if all admission
requirements are not met or surpassed.
Students enrolled in B.A. degree programs must meet the
standards and requirements set by the college and the university.
