The primary goal of the Howard University Design Program is to cultivate strong problem solving competency with mastery of conceptual skills and artisanship. This is achieved through the study of theory and the practical application of learned technique. This program reacquaints the student artist with foundation principles that are central to design while providing an intensive curriculum in visual and technologically-mediated communication.
