Band Camp Information
Dear Band Member,
This correspondence is to provide you with essential information concerning the 2014 Howard University Band Camp. Camp will be held from Sunday, August 10, 2014 through Saturday, August 16, 2014. All Band members residing on campus are to check into their fall assigned dormitories between 12:00 noon to 4:00pm. Please note: Residence Life will not allow any Band member to check into his/ her dormitory unless validated. Please have your housing contract available upon check-in.
General meetings are as follows:
12:00pm until 4:00pm - Issuing of instruments/practice attire
(Band Room - Located in the basement of Lulu Vere Childers Hall / Fine Arts)
5:00pm - General Meeting All Band Students
(Digital Auditorium - Located in the Blackburn Center)

All New Band members are required to pay Band Dues of $375.00, which will secure the cost of uniform cleaning, instrument maintenance, practice/ performance attire, and travel uniforms. Returning Band members have a reduced fee which varies by year. This fee is due by Monday, July 14, 2014. Please note: All Band Scholarships will be RESCINDED if the Band Dues are not paid in full. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The University Band Program will provide three meals per day during Band Camp from Monday, August 11, 2014 through Sunday, August 17, 2014. Please note you are responsible for your housing/meal arrangements for the academic year.
For your completion, are links to all Band Camp forms and required documentation. Please submit all forms and dues by Monday, July 14, 2014. Forms received late will only delay your registration process.
