EDUCATIONAL ADVISORY CENTER WELCOME
Locke Hall, Suite 110 (202) 806-6985

Dear Freshman:

On behalf of the Dean, Dr. James A. Donaldson, and the faculty and staff of the College of Arts and Sciences, I would like to welcome you to Howard University. It is our goal to assist you in making your transition from high school to college a smooth one.

With this in mind, we are inviting you to participate in a registration process that will allow new freshmen to select and enter their classes via the web before they arrive on campus in August. An academic self-advising manual is available on the web to walk you through the process. The web will be available January 7th and 8th at 9 am to midnight for new student registration, and you are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

Please read the manual thoroughly before attempting to register. Please also note carefully the information on the Math Placement Examination, which MUST be taken prior to registering. This exam can be accessed by going to http://www.howard.edu/prospectivestudents/ and selecting “Math Placement Exam.”

Please feel free to contact your counselor or faculty advisor if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Jean M. Bryan
Director
