The Amistad

Welcome

The Amistad is a bi-annual online journal of and about Black Art and Literature. Even though the market for Black Art and Literature is getting smaller, the production of it has expanded. A new generation of writers and artists has emerged: multicultural and non-traditional. The Amistad has an all-volunteer staff who are committed to expanding the readership, and appreciation of Black Art and Literature in all media, for all people. We wish to contribute to and exhibit the voices of the black writers and artists of our generation. Please read the Editor’s Note for an introduction to this issue.

Using the Website

The Amistad website is optimized for use with Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater. The website will work with any browser which enables frames and JavaScript. A guide for navigating the site is available here.
