Galatians 5:24

he unraveled her headwrap with his illustrious stare

the passion that eminated from his eyes unleashed her dark, virgin, hair

he untied the cloth that adorned my hips

unloosed the ties of my shirt

and kissed poised breast with moist lips

see, love will crown and crucify

eyes lie

and ears...they only hear what they want to hear

like I can't erase the sound of you calling me dear

or take back this one year we spent as a couple

to say I don't love you would be being untrue to who I am

so instead I face myself with honesty and know that you have the best in me

as I lay memoirs of us on the cross.

Amongst burning intentions and words of benediction

I prepare for our physical cruxifiction

realizing

that I will be the only Mary crying

and I will be the only martyr dying

and the nails in my feet

are the songs you would repeat

the lips that said they loved me as I am

and the nails in my hands

are the vows we made in the dark

the dancing in the park

the arms that said they'd never let go

and as my head falls and our past takes it's last breath

I know that this is what comes with my kind of love

so I'll die one thousand deaths

to kill what's insecure

to bleed the impure

just to show you what my love will endure

and on the third day

before the sun goes down

ressurect us wearing the crown
