I can catch a train to Chicago

and shop until I drop.

I can take a trip to DC

and view monuments at each Metro stop.

I can cruise the Caribbean

and enjoy a tan everyone will adore.

I can journey down the Amazon

as if it were all mine to explore.

If I like I can travel to Egypt

and marvel at the wonders there,

or I can even climb the great Mt. Everest

to the very peak if I dare.

Come with me, we can go to England

and sit and sip tea at noon.

Or we can fly to Paris, France

and see what fashions will come out soon.

Italy, Australia, India, Japan...

I can travel the world in a zip.

But I cannot walk through my own hood

without concern.

Isn’t that a trip?
