BAND CAMP INFORMATION

Dear Band Member,

This correspondence is to provide you with essential information concerning the 2008 Howard University Band Camp. Camp will be held from Sunday, August 10, 2008 through Saturday, August 16, 2008. All band members residing on campus are to check into their fall assigned dormitories between 12:00 noon to 4:00pm. Please note: Residence Life will not allow any Band member to check into his/ her dormitory unless validated. Please have your housing contract available upon check-in.

GENERAL MEETINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

4:00pm - Group 1- Drum Majors, Band Fraternities and Sororities, Section Leaders (Band Room)
6:00pm- Group 2- All Freshmen and Returning Band Members (Blackburn Auditorium)

Band members are required to pay Band Dues of $375.00, which will secure the cost of uniform cleaning, instrument maintenance, practice/ performance attire, and travel uniforms. This fee is due by Monday, July 14, 2008. Please note: All Band Scholarships will be rescended if the Band Dues are not paid in full. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The University Band Program will provide three meals per day during Band Camp from Monday, August 11, 2008 through Sunday, August 17, 2008. Students residing off-campus will be responsible for making their housing arrangements for the Fall 2008 semester.

For your completion, are links to the Band Camp forms and other required documentation. Please submit all forms and dues by Monday, July 14, 2007. Forms received late will only delay your registration process.
