Raymond T. Jackson, Professor of Music (Piano), Bachelor of Music, summa cum laude, New England Conservatory; Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Doctor of Musical Arts, Juilliard School of Music. Piano study with Beveridge Webster, Sascha Gorodnitzki, and Ania Dorfmann; further study at the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, France, and with Jeanne-Marie Darré in Paris; numerous prizes include the Marguerite Long International Piano Competition, the 10th International Piano Competition in Rio de Janeiro, the J.U.G.G., Inc., New York Town Hall Debut Award; has produced local and national competition prize winners; citations in "International Who's Who in Music", "Who's Who in Black America", and others; recorded for Cespico Records; has concertized internationally as soloist and with orchestra; extensive research and lecture recitals on the piano music of Black composers; founder, Raymond T. Jackson Scholarship and Mentoring Award Program.
