The objectives of the Center are:

		To implement initiatives that will encourage Howard University students to become more competitive students for professional schools.
		To organize programs that will promote the admission and retention of Preprofessional students to law school, health professions schools, graduate school, and science related careers.
		To supply the tools necessary to complete successfully the transition to graduate and professional schools.

The Howard University Preprofessional student enjoys the significant privilege of having the schools of Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Allied Health, Nursing and Pharmacy on Campus. The Center maintains strong connections with the Deans, the Officers of Admissions and Financial Aid and students and faculty of these schools.

We encourage our students to begin the preparation for entering professional schools during the freshman year. However, guidance is available to students who are sophomores, juniors, seniors, as well as post graduation from college.
