Community Technical Assistance Project (CTAP) Photo Exhibit

The Community Technical Assistance Project (CTAP) conducts qualitative and mixed methods urban based research that benefits community development and preservation, especially in the Pleasant Plains neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C. Directed by Dr. Ernest Quimby, Graduate Associate Professor, students develop visual, qualitative and quantitative databases. They present results in various formats in a community setting. Mixed methods and qualitative community-based participatory research are conducted. Community stakeholders collaborate in CTAP’s aims, design, methods, uses and evaluation. Academic objectives include faculty and student modeling and strengthening of the following skills:

- Verifying, Assessing and Documenting Outcomes
- Using Historical and Latest Information
- Improving Information Literacy and Visual Literacy
