A Minority Student Summer Research Opportunity Program:
Held- June 14-August 10, 2004 -for college juniors who are members of underrepresented groups in medical fields at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Students who intend to apply to medical school or biomedical science graduate programs are preferred who are African American, Latino/Hispanic, or Native American. The students in the program will receive 9 weeks of research experience directed by a faculty member at the school of medicine and participate in a se minar/lecture series offered at Einstein this summer. A fellowship of $2,500 will be awarded the students who are accepted into the program as well as free campus housing.. Application forms are available on the table next to Dr. Beard's lab- 317 Monroe Hall. Applications and supporting documents must be received at Einstein by March1, 2004.
