Welcome Conference Delegates!
As the proud host of the 24th annual International Association of Blacks in
Dance Conference (IABD), “Connecting Our Diasporas through Dance”, dance
Immersion staff hope you find this year’s conference a once-in-a-lifetime
experience that you will cherish. You can look forward to four full days of
dance with the aim of gaining the tools you need to further your own personal
and professional development. We look forward to your participation, and hope
you give us feedback throughout the process.
PLEASE NOTE: Full Conference
Registration packages should be purchased through the Arts Box Office (https://www.artsboxoffice.ca/),
however, they are not be able to take the detailed information required
for full conference registration package. Therefore, in order to process
each conference delegates' conference package, please download and fill
out the Conference Registration Form (see link below). We need this
information to make conference packages available on the first day of
registration during the conference. The most important information is
the participants name and the signed liability waiver.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Conference attendees are strongly encouraged to
pre-register for the event.

Onsite registrations and conference materials are subject
to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Registration forms must be filled out and sent to dance
Immersion after purchase.

Conference registrations are confirmed when registrations
forms and payments are received and processed.
-
There are no refunds.
-
Add-ons such as dance classes and the midnight bantaba will be available
onsite only January 26-28, 2012.
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION

You can purchase full conference registrations through the Theatre Passe

GROUP REGISTRATION

A
Group is
defined as 15 or more participants.

All
Groups must register through dance Immersion by phone at 416.203.0666 or
by emailing the Conference Coordinator, Claudia Araya at
claudia@danceimmersion.ca with your information.

Each
Registrant
must
complete a registration form.
-
Group
leaders must provide a complete list of attendees, forms and method of
payment.
-
Group discounts are
subject to conference deadlines and payments must be received before
deadline is over.

GROUP RATES AFTER JANUARY 9, 2012.
IABD
MEMBER REGISTRATION
-
Registrants wishing to get the IABD Membership rate need to be a 2011
IABD member.
-
All 2011 IABD Members will be confirmed through the IABD Administrative
Office at Howard University.
MONEY EXCHANGE AND RATES

The credit card will be charged immediately upon
registration.

Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard only) payments are
accepted.

A ticketing fee of $10 will be charged for every
conference registration purchased.
Money orders
and bank drafts

NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED. DO NOT SEND
CASH BY MAIL!

Payment for all registrations must be made in full prior
to the conference and received before the deadline.

All registration fees are FINAL and are available on a limited first
come/first serve basis. No refunds will be given by the IABD, Arts Box
Office or by dance Immersion.
PERSONAL INFORMATION

Participant contact information will be part of a
database only accessible to the Conference Team and IABD.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOTAPING
-
Taking photographs or using video equipment other than
for personal use at the IABD Conference is prohibited and violators will
be removed from the premises. Only the official photographer will be
authorized to take photographs.
